For an inside mount, measure the opening width at the top, middle and bottom and note the smallest width. Measure the opening height and the clear frame depth, too.
For an outside mount, plan the area you want to cover, with overlap beyond the opening where space permits. Check the mounting position and the shade dimensions together.
